Why don't you take this horseshit to the Rubber Room? It is hardly a political discussion.
Why is categorising "Americans" as a universal group which collectively pisses you off any different from "niggers", "faggots", "Canadians", "Socialists", etc?
But to address your specific points:
"The main reason why I am pissed off is that, the US tries to act like a noble and great democratic power"
If I'm not mistaken Alex, you are British -- in fact you suggested that the US take "nation-building" lessons from the Uk in another recent post. Need I point out all of the suffering that the UK's imperialism has cuased the world, prior to it finally being ankled and put back where it belongs? Frankly, most of my country's worst international exploits seem to reek of a crash course in "UK-style nation building," one which was passed with flying colours.
" ... in always attemping to uphold ideals such as freedom, democracy, liberty, rule of law, and 'humanitarian intervention'."
Not all of these concepts work well together, unfortunately, which is why our various leaders [sic] seem so confused. Plus, the current one is a dolt, which surely does not help external appearances.
"But, I have noticed, from my own personal experience,"
I would love to hear about this personal experience you have had with nearly 300,000,000 Americans, which led you to become pissed off at all of us.
"... that they often try to come across like they are the above things when in reality, they are very much the opposite. They are also hardly the country to attempt to set an example of those values to the rest of the world. "
I agree to the extent that members of recent administrations seem to mistakenly believe themselves the caretakers and/or policemen of the world, and have for the most part done a botch job. But I very seriously doubt that you have even Google-level knowledge, let alone "personal experience" to elucidate this point.
"I would go into more detail, with many examples but like I said, it will be a very long thread and I have an exam tomorrow morning."
So I guess posturing schoolboys are the same all over the world, regardless of nationality. We have moronic, self-righteous shitwits like yourself in America too Alex, and we coincidentally call them "university students" just like they do in the UK. I am dying to learn of your extensive personal experience which qualifies you to judge a nation of people which has continually carried your sorry emerald isle like a papoose in virtually every sense, almost without stop since we broke your wrist for putting your hand in our pocket one too many times.
